DU UG Admissions 2023

The Delhi University (DU) has released the first merit undergraduate allocation list, paving the way for admissions in undergraduate courses at the prestigious varsity. In the first round, a total of 85,853 allocations were shortlisted from over 2 lakh candidates, based on their program and college preferences.

According to the University statement, 7,042 candidates were assigned seats based on their 1st preference, while 22,000 candidates received seats from their top five preferences. The admission process is currently underway for 71,000 seats in 78 UG programs and 198 BA (Bachelor of Arts) program combinations across 68 colleges.

Shortlisted candidates have until August 4 to accept their allocated seats through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. This platform facilitates smooth communication between candidates and colleges, allowing candidates to accept their allocations and colleges to scrutinize applications.

Once the respective colleges approve the applications, the selected candidates must submit their fees by August 6. The University will announce the second round of allocations on August 10, and the candidates who have made the fee payment will have the option to participate in the second round.
