Police Operation in Winson Green Yields £30k Cash and Significant Cannabis Seizure; Three Arrested

A focused police operation in Winson Green resulted in the confiscation of £30,000 in cash and substantial quantities of cannabis during stop and searches conducted in the area. The operation, aimed at curbing drug supply and the possession of weapons, took place on Thursday, August 10.

Officers targeted the ward in an effort to apprehend individuals involved in illicit drug activities and weapons possession. The searches led to the discovery of sizeable sums of money enveloped in plastic bundles, alongside the seizure of cannabis. As a result of the operation, three suspects were taken into custody.

Winson Green Police shared the outcomes on Twitter: “Officers conducted a proactive operation today with @GuardianWMP in Winson Green and Ladywood West. 3 x suspects arrested, large amounts of cannabis removed from the streets along with over £30k in cash seized!”

Guardian WMP, an entity focused on combating youth violence and knife crime, also weighed in on the successful operation: “Several arrests, from different ‘proactive’ stops, for Drug Supply and Possession of Weapons. Criminal vehicles seized, along with large quantities of cash.”
