  • Duration: 120 minutes

    • Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving (Session 1) – 30 questions – 60 marks
    • Numerical and Mathematical Ability (Session 1) – 30 questions – 60 marks
    • General Awareness (Session 2) – 30 questions – 75 marks
    • English Language and Comprehension (Session 2) – 30 questions – 75 marks
  • Negative Marking:
    • There is no negative marking in Session 1.
    • There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2.

The SSC MTS Exam 2023 will be conducted in two sessions. Session 1 will be conducted for Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving, and Numerical and Mathematical Ability. Session 2 will be conducted for General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension.

Both sessions are mandatory and candidates must attempt all the questions. There is no negative marking in Session 1. However, there is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2.

The SSC MTS Exam 2023 will be held in 15 different languages except for the English section. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon and the second shift will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The selection of candidates for the SSC MTS 2023 will be done on the basis of their performance in the Computer-Based Examination (CBE). The CBE will consist of two stages, namely, Tier 1 and Tier 2.

Tier 1 will be a screening test and will be conducted for 120 marks. Tier 2 will be a qualifying test and will be conducted for 140 marks.

The candidates who qualify Tier 1 will be called for Tier 2. The candidates who qualify Tier 2 will be shortlisted for the final selection process, which will include a Document Verification (DV) and a Personality Test (PT).
