A highly coveted government recruitment drive attracted 79,565 applicants eager for stable public sector employment. Of those, 50,837 sat for the preliminary exam on February 12, 2023.

Based on exam performance, only 3,145 qualified to advance to the main exam held May 23-25. 3,019 ultimately participated in the main exam.

On August 1st, results were released, and just 959 applicants had scored well enough on the main exam to proceed to the final interview round.

From August 16-28, the 959 candidates went through intensive interviews. But due to a court order, one position’s result is still pending.

Out of nearly 80,000 initial applicants, making it to the final 959 is a major achievement. The coveted government jobs attracted tremendous interest, but only the top performers will secure the limited openings.
